Originally from Star, Mississippi, Haley G. Finneran graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts. While at MSU, she served as Vice President of the Student Association and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was also elected as Miss Mississippi State University by her fellow students. She then attended The University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as a member of Dean’s Leadership Council and Magister of the Mayes Inn Chapter of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, ultimately graduating cum laude with her Juris Doctor degree.

Judge Finneran began her career as an Assistant State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she prosecuted felony level crimes. Judge Finneran and her family relocated to Beaufort in 2021, where her husband proudly serves in the United States Marine Corps flying F/18s at the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

Preceding her appointment as an Associate Probate Judge, Judge Finneran was in private practice, assisting clients in estate planning, probate and trust administrations, and real estate transactions. She is a member of the South Carolina and Beaufort County Bars and is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and Florida. Outside of her professional activities, she enjoys playing golf, running, reading, and spending time with her family.
