Probate Court
Effective December 22, 2025, the Hilton Head Island and Bluffton satellite offices will begin accepting ESTATE filings only. Please note that these offices are NOT equipped to accept Guardianship/Conservatorship/Trust/Therapeutic filings at this time. Please also note that these satellite offices will be DROP OFF ONLY. While the clerks are allowed to notarize estate forms, they are not allowed to assist in filling out the form or advise on any filing fees. If a filing fee is required, it must be by check or money order. If an appointment with an estate clerk is necessary, please call the Beaufort office to schedule an appointment in Beaufort. Finally, please also note that these offices are not equipped to write receipts or open any new estates/process any filings. Therefore, while those filings will be date-stamped the day they are received, please be aware that any review/processing times may be delayed due to the need to courier those filings to the Probate Court in Beaufort where all Court records are kept.
