The purpose of the Beaufort County Capital Improvements Department is to provide professional, efficient, and cost effective project management to a variety of non-transportation related capital projects for Beaufort County. Projects range from facility renovations to new construction of buildings, parks, and county property infrastructure. Our highly skilled and competent team of project managers oversee all aspects to the project's life from inception of concept to delivery of a finished facility ready for use by the end users, including County staff and the public. The CIP Program Manager coordinates the accounting and contract management of our projects and funding sources. Our CIP Director facilities project partnerships with the stakeholders, oversees the annual CIP budgeting and plan preparation, mentors the team, and provides program vision, direction, and accountability.
The CIP department works closely with supporting departments, including Finance, Procurement Services, Budget, Engineering, Facilities Management, Administration, and others, to carry out the successful project and program management needed to make Beaufort County the best place to Live, Work, and Play.
