Beaufort County is beginning repairs on several roads in Hilton Head as part of the County's annual roadway resurfacing program. Funded by the County Transportation Committee, the County will be starting road patching and paving beginning Tuesday, September 3.

Contractors ask that residents please refrain from parking in the street during the time of operations. This will be a day-time activity between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The road project is expected to last approximately 2 weeks.

These are target dates and may be delayed or advanced due to weather and field conditions. Flaggers will be in each work zone, so motorists are asked to travel with caution.

The following roads will be impacted by the paving and patching repair project:

• Avocet Road
• Curlew Street
• Egret Street
• Gannet Street
• Park Road
• Ibis Street
• Flamingo Street
• Bittern Street
• Heron Street
• Dove Street
• Dune Lane
• Sand Dollar Road
• Murray Avenue
• Rebecca Circle
• Shamrock Circle
• Blue Bell Lane

Those streets that are one way, may have closures during the paving process. Motorists are cautioned to remain alert for traffic warning signs, equipment, and personnel.
