The City of Beaufort has begun a streetscape project on Allison Road. This project will be concurrent with the County's Spanish Moss Trail Improvement Project in the same area.

Beginning Monday, June 3, Allison Road will become a one lane road and then will be totally shutdown starting Sunday, June 16. The City is requesting pedestrians avoid Allison Road starting this Monday, June 3.

Since this is part of the current detour for the Spanish Moss Trail work currently underway, the detour is slightly longer for the safety of the entire community. The detour will now go from First Blvd to Hermitage Road. The project is expected be completed by June 30.

Closure of Allison Road will directly impact Mossy Oaks area residents within Cottage Farm and Ribaut Island so the City and County are asking for patience for the duration of the streetscape improvement project.
