Beaufort County and the City of Beaufort have worked together to complete the new Airport Frontage Road project on Lady’s Island. The new roadway will be open to the traveling public beginning today, Tuesday, April 9.

The road provides a safe outlet for the residents and users of Lost Island Road connecting to the traffic signal at Airport Circle and Sea Island Parkway.

The project was part of the Beaufort County 2018 One Cent Sales Tax program.

Work will continue in the area while the contractor completes final items. Motorists are asked to please use caution while in the area.
