Maintenance work has begun on the CC Haigh, Jr Boat Landing (#2 William Hilton Parkway) on Pinckney Island. The work will realign the access loop for trucks and trailers, making it easier for boaters to launch and park.

Boat landing visitors can expect maintenance work to realign and improve the existing gravel truck and trailer parking, maintenance to one of the floating docks, and improvements to parking for passenger cars without trailers. The passenger car parking area will be created with a grass paver system: this is a pervious paver system designed to prevent erosion and allow for water absorption, while providing a safe surface for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

The public site will remain open, and disruption of the boat launch will be kept to a minimum. Our continued goal is to provide enhanced services and improve the quality of life for Beaufort County residents.
