Beaufort County Administration, in order to comply with a court order, has created a temporary solution for an embarkation site for the public ferry to Daufuskie Island. The temporary site is located at the CC Haigh, Jr Public Boat Landing on Pinckney Island, at #2 William Hilton Parkway.

The public site is currently receiving necessary maintenance and upgrades to support the temporary ferry embarkation, and will also improve the boater experience long term. These improvements include a realignment of the parking to allow for additional vehicular and trailer parking on site, and a reconfiguration of the traffic flow to improve efficiency. The County is continuing to work on a permanent embarkation site, but believes this temporary solution is the best immediate alternative to provide uninterrupted service. Beaufort County will continue to update the public on ferry services and operations as information becomes available.
