The SC Stay Plus pandemic-related rent relief program takes applications from Beaufort County residents struggling with back rent and utility payments due to pandemic-related financial instability. SC Stay Plus provides payments directly to landlords and utility companies. The program has been very successful, with over 140 residents seeking help; it has been extended through the end of September and has expanded to the Lobeco and Bluffton Branch Libraries.

Bluffton Branch Library, 120 Palmetto Way (September 13-Sept 18)

Renters applying must provide identification and proof of income and unemployment, and evidence of financial hardship.
