Beaufort County Treasurer's Office Announces Reopening Plan

The Beaufort County Treasurer’s Office will resume services and reopen to the public with modified hours beginning Monday, June 15.
The Treasurer’s Office will continue to offer virtual and online services Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For customers unable to utilize virtual or online services, County employees will be happy to assist you during the hours below. All other payment may be utilized online and by phone.

To minimize in-person contact, kiosks will be installed in the coming weeks at each of our three office locations. When in-person contact is necessary, the county emphasizes physical distancing and will require customers to wear cloth face coverings during these transactions. County employees plan to wear masks to protect customers and protective barriers, such as plexiglass, have been installed where face-to-face contact occurs.
Payments
We would like to remind customers that there are a variety of payment options available to them that are convenient and free. They include:
- Online at myBeaufortCounty.com and pay with no additional fees when using an eCheck. Your receipt will be provided to you right away and is accepted at the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Payment can be mailed to the address listed on your tax bill. The postmark date is honored as the customer’s date of payment.
- To pay by phone call 888-970-0624 and pay with no additional fees when using an eCheck.
- For bills newly created by the Auditor’s Office, they are available for payment online by the next business day or sent by mail to the address listed on the bill. The postmark date is honored as the customer’s date of payment.
