Beaufort County Returns to OPCON 2: Wednesday, March 18

Earlier today, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, via its Emergency Management Division, returned to Operational Condition 2 status (OPCON 2). This condition is as a result of the national pandemic for the Coronavirus (COVID-19). A copy of the notice is available here.  Beaufort County Council passed an Emergency Ordinance Monday, March 16, authorizing the County Administrator to take the necessary steps to protect Beaufort County residents and visitors.
