Beaufort County Cuts Ribbon for Brand New County Animal Campus

On Saturday morning, March 30, Beaufort County Council and its partners at Hilton Head Humane Association joined in celebrating the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new Beaufort County Animal Campus. The multi-million dollar campus includes animal intake areas,
The campus is located at 10 Pritcher Point Road, Okatie [map] and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Beaufort County Animal Services (BCAS) Department seeks to promote responsible domestic pet/livestock ownership, prevent the spread of animal-borne diseases to other domestic pets/livestock and protect the public by seizing public nuisance domestic pets/livestock roaming throughout the County. BCAS also provides shelter for stray, unwanted or homeless domestic pets/livestock, to maintain a vigorous relocation program to include health screening, vaccinations and mandatory spay or neutering of same.
