The Disabilities and Special Needs Board advocates for individuals with disabilities and special needs who are served by the Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs Department; to provide assistance and advice to the Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs Department staff concerning matters of policy, and to promote community awareness of Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs Department programs and services.  

• Meetings are held quarterly on the third Tuesday of the month at 4:00 pm. (Virtually) 
• Meetings last approximately one hour.
• Meetings are held in the Beaufort Office, 100 Clear Water Way, Beaufort, SC.
• Knowledge of one's community, developmental disabilities, and the private sector are desired.
