Beaufort County’s contractors, APAC-Atlantic, Inc and W. M. Roebuck, are expected to complete the installation of the new temporary wood pole traffic signal at the entrance to Oldfield at the intersection of SC 170, Oldfield Way, and E Argent Boulevard. This signal was placed in flash operation yesterday July 30, 2024. The new signal is expected to be fully activated the morning of Tuesday August 6, 2024, assuming all conditions are appropriate.

Work will continue along the SC 170 corridor for the next few months, including daytime and nighttime work.

Motorists are cautioned to remain alert for traffic warning signs, equipment, and personnel.
