Beaufort County announces new traffic signal on Bluffton Parkway.

Beaufort County has installed a new traffic signal on Bluffton Parkway at River Ridge Drive and Flat Creek Drive as part of a safety study and signal design performed by Bihl Engineering, LLC. The traffic signal has been flashing for over a week and will be activated to full control today.

The new signal has been installed by Walker Brothers Construction with temporary steel poles and strain wire and will be replaced by mast arms in the future.  This was a quick solution for installation due to manufacturing delays for mast arms. The signal assists in school traffic operations for River Ridge Academy and pedestrian/bicycle safety for users of the shared-use paths. The County would also like to thank the school district for their participation in this project.
