Due to current social distancing guidelines, VITA has adjusted their method of service to provide curbside and/or contactless FREE tax preparation in accordance with health and safety protocols.
In collaboration with the Beaufort County Human Services Alliance, United Way of the Lowcountry, Inc., the Lowcountry Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to persons generally earning $66,000 annually or less, differently-abled persons, persons 60 and older, and limited English-speaking persons.
Further details about VITA services is available at www.vitalowcountry.org. To volunteer or obtain more information, contact Program Coordinator Theresa Jackson at lowcountryvitacoalition@gmail.com or call 843-321-9071.
