Beaufort County Stormwater implemented its new Southern Lowcountry Stormwater Design Manual beginning February 1. Any new development submissions that require Beaufort County Stormwater approval, shall be required to use the most current Beaufort County Stormwater design standards.

Any new submissions for projects, and/or phases, within an approved Master Plan or Planned Unit Development (PUD), will also be required to use the most current Beaufort County Stormwater design standards.

The only allowable exceptions for submitting projects without using the current Southern Lowcountry Stormwater Design manual:

1. Projects were submitted to the Staff Review Team prior to February 1.
2. Projects as a part of an existing PUD, and/or development agreement, that has specifically adopted previous Stormwater design standards that address both water quality and water quantity, and where infrastructure is already in place.
