Beaufort County is participating in the SC Counts Day of Action this Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. until noon at Battery Creek High School’s rear parking lot off Jennings Road. The address is 1 Blue Dolphin Drive.

Local health agencies will be offering COVID-19 testing and flu shots, both free of charge, and residents will be able to fill out their census forms.

All services are offered on a first come, first served basis and the event is rain or shine.

The deadline to fill out census information is September 30. Critical funding for County infrastructure projects, school programs, Head Start, economic development and so much more depends on an accurate census count.

For everyone’s protection, this will be a drive through event. Please remain in your car and volunteers will administer the services while wearing personal protective equipment.
