The Bluffton location of the Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department will be closed Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23 for staff training. The Beaufort location of the department will be open as normal on these days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for customer business services, but treatment services will not be available.

The department is an affiliate of the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services ( DAODAS), licensed as a healthcare facility by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities ( CARF). Prevention Coordinators and Treatment Counselors working from both office locations develop and manage outpatient services to prevent and reduce the adverse health, social, and economic consequences resulting from addiction and co-dependency.
