Beaufort County Offers Two Locations for Residents to Properly Dispose of Prescription Drugs On April 27

The Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department, in partnership with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and the Lowcountry Alliance for Healthy Youth, is again participating in the DEA National Rx Take Back program that allows people to properly dispose of unused prescription drugs.
The event will be held Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Bluffton Convenience Center, 104 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton [map] and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, 2001 Duke Street, Beaufort [map].
The following items will not be accepted: inventory from medical practices, liquid medicines, syringes or needles or medical waste. More information on DEA National Rx Take Back can be found here.
