According to a recent announcement from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and in conjunction with the United Infrastructure Group (UIG), lane closures will occur on US 21 over the Harbor River Bridge from Butches Road to Harbor Drive [map] on Tuesday, February 5. The lane closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are necessary to mobilize construction equipment to the site in advance of foundation drilling operations.

 The scheduled time is approximate and dependent on the weather. Motorists traveling near the construction zones are asked to be aware of equipment and crews, new and changing traffic patterns, and to comply with traffic control signs, reductions in speed limits, and message board information.
