Beaufort County Environmental Educator Hosts The Power of Composting Workshops

Beaufort County Public Works is offering several workshops entitled "The Power of Composting" that will help increase environmental awareness as well as a better understanding of food composting in residents' daily lives. 

Beaufort County's Solid Waste and Recycle Department recently kicked off a food composting pilot program that has been extremely successful. Learn more about the County food waste composting program, accepted materials, and how you can help reduce food waste. 

All workshops will be held at Beaufort County Library branches. They are free of charge and open to the public.

The workshop dates are:

Wednesday, May 13
11 a.m. St. Helena Branch, 6355 Jonathan Francis Sr. Way (map)

Thursday, May 14
11 a.m. Hilton Head Island Branch, 11 Beach City Road (map)

Monday, May 18
11 a.m. Beaufort Downtown Branch, 311 Scott Street (map)
2 p.m. Lobeco Branch, 1862 Trask Parkway, Seabrook (map)
